Reopening winter 2026 to 2027

The rooms are dark. Not for long.

Witzend’s escape rooms at 402 Main Street, in the same house as Bistro Le Moque-Tortue, are closed for a rebuild and reopen this winter, 2026 to 2027. Bookings aren’t open yet.

An escape room here isn’t about being smart. It’s about noticing what others don’t. Sixty minutes, a room that is itself the puzzle, a clue in plain sight, and a Game Master who watches the obvious go unnoticed and says nothing. Private rooms, in English or French, with stories drawn from the coast: lobster fisheries, bootleggers, and the folklore people here tell with a straight face.

Regulars will remember Sam the Menace, the neighbour’s kid who hid a great many passports in his playroom between 2018 and 2020. Sam is not forgotten.

When the doors open

Public bookings, corporate team days with a proper debrief, and birthdays for people who’d rather solve something than sit through something.

To hear the date before anyone else, write to info@witzend.ca with “Escape” in the subject line. For anything else, (506) 351-0367.

House rules, for when the time comes

Arrive fifteen minutes early. Sessions run sixty minutes. Players under 14 come with an adult. Service animals are welcome; other pets aren’t. Nothing in the rooms is built to startle. You’ll be fine. Probably.
